About

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Charlie Carroll’s life is a masterclass in turning obstacles into opportunities. Growing up with parents who were relentless entrepreneurs, Charlie had an early introduction to the idea that work isn’t just about earning a living—it’s about creating something bigger than yourself. His parents, both shaped by challenging upbringings and undiagnosed learning disabilities, passed down more than just a strong work ethic. They passed down the resilience to see things differently and the courage to act on it.

Charlie inherited their drive, but he also inherited ADHD and dyslexia. And while these conditions might have slowed others down, they became catalysts for Charlie’s unique brand of problem-solving. When you’re wired to see things backwards, you learn to think forward in ways others can’t. You’re forced to innovate, finding new paths to desired destinations. It’s no wonder Charlie has launched over 50 businesses and holds multiple patents. His mind, always a few steps ahead—or sideways, found the gaps and filled them.

In high school, Charlie wasn’t just a student—he was a mentor, a leader, the captain of a soccer team that made history. Offered full scholarships to top universities, Charlie made the bold decision to forgo these opportunities in favor of joining the adidas Soccer Academy and its Elite Soccer Program (ESP), where he played under some of the best coaches in the world. He came close to representing the U.S. in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but something even bigger was on the horizon.

At the adidas Academy, Charlie experienced what he describes as a “God encounter.” Not your everyday kind of encounter—this was the kind that changes everything. It eventually set the stage for BodyGarage Dayton, a wellness boutique that, years later, would become a place where people experienced what can only be called miracles. Infertility? Cured. Generational trauma? Released. It isn’t just about wellness; it’s about transforming lives.

Before BodyGarage, there was Messengers of Mercy Ministries, which Charlie started after leaving professional soccer. The spiritual encounter at the academy had shifted his focus entirely. Back in Dayton, he took over his mother’s travel agency’s marketing department while simultaneously developing a 501c3. Along the way, he met Jack Hayford, a man who saw something special in Charlie. Hayford, known as the father of modern Pentecostalism, mentored Charlie for over a decade, deepening his understanding of spirituality and “the invisible.”

Charlie’s entrepreneurial streak continued in South Carolina, where he moved to earn a degree in theology and pastoral studies. While studying full-time, he launched multiple businesses, from a car waxing company to an indoor sports training facility. He even brought state-of-the-art technologies and synthetic turf to South Carolina, becoming a pioneer in the process. And in his “spare” time, he coached soccer teams to multiple state championships, earning national recognition when being asked to join the coaching staff for the McDonalds All-American Games.

Returning to Ohio, Charlie founded The NorthGate church in 2008, which later became City Church Dayton. He didn’t just preach; he created a community. The church bought a former Salvation Army property in downtown Dayton and turned it into a hub of activity and service. They hosted thousands, partnered with other organizations, and even created “Lost in the City,” a scavenger hunt that turned Dayton into a playground for connection and fun.

Charlie’s impact didn’t stop at the church. He opened Table 33 Dayton, a farm-to-table restaurant that became a cornerstone of his community efforts. There, he built a “Trauma Safe” program, offering jobs and a fresh start to those recovering from addiction. The Poverty Alleviation Program (MVLA) received national recognition, a testament to Charlie’s belief that business isn’t just about profit, it’s about people.

Over the years, Charlie launched a watch company, an online wine business, a supplement and nutrition company, and Tipp City Pizza—a pizza and entertainment venue in Tipp City, Ohio. Each business is more than a venture; it’s a statement about what’s possible when you mix passion with purpose.

Today, Charlie leads ASET Corporation, a security consulting firm he took over from his father in 2005. He’s consulted for some of the biggest names in business—General Motors, Coca-Cola, Walmart, Harley Davidson, and more. He’s on the road over 150 days a year, helping these companies stay safe, secure, and successful.

And then there’s the dream—almost two decades in the making—of moving Table 33 Dayton into the heart of Dayton’s arcade, a symbol of the city’s revival. It’s a full-circle moment, bringing a long-held vision to life.

Charlie’s latest innovation, Psycho Seltzer, is poised to disrupt the beverage industry. It’s the world’s first pseudo-psychedelic seltzer, designed to give you a buzz without the baggage. It’s fun, it’s fresh, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from someone who’s always one step ahead.

Charlie Carroll isn’t just an entrepreneur; he’s a visionary. He’s the guy who sees the gaps and fills them, who turns challenges into opportunities, who creates spaces where people can thrive. Whether he’s building a business, leading a church, or pioneering a new product, Charlie is always asking the question, “What’s next?” And for him, the answer is always, “More.” More innovation, more community, more impact. It’s not just about what he’s done, it’s about what he’s going to do next. And you can bet it’s going to be something incredible.
